St Kilda Festival has always been a hallmark of the Melbourne music scene, always managing to grab great national acts as well as hidden local gems. The New Music stage has regularly been a crowd favourite at the festival to discover up-and-coming Australian talent, and now, ten Aussie acts have been unveiled for the lineup, it being their first confirmed lineup for the festival.

Vivid indie pop musician Phia, singer-songwriter Georgia Mulligan, mellow psych band Smoke Rings, Darwinian roots player David Spry, feet-stomping pop artists Thom Kion & The Tamers, soul star WALLACE, grooving indie six-piece The Harlots, Melbourne electronic duo Two Can, dance floor favourites Sugar Fed Leopards, and theatrical post-punkers Destrends are all set to grace the stage.

The ten talents will be competing for $5000 in their pockets as well as a coveted spot on the Main Stage for 2018’s St Kilda Festival. All bands will play Sunday February 12 on the festival’s ‘Festival Sunday’, where a bunch of other stages and market stalls will be open for crowds to enjoy.
