Ten years have come and gone quickly since Cold War Kids first hit the stage, but thankfully they are still around playing shows selling out tours and making new music and about to release their fifth album in a decade! Nathan Willett along with the band’s bassist and visual director Matt Maust have led Cold War Kids through the 21st century to this moment in time, to release the bands fifth studio album Hold My Home on October 17.

The band wrote and recorded the album in their own San Pedro studio, with guitarist Dann Gallucci and Dear Miss Lonelyhearts collaborator Lars Stalfors as producer, utilizing their environment, experience, energy and cohesion while still driving home the familiar Cold War Kids sound that fans have become accustomed to over the past 10 years.

“This record is a testament to some of my strengths—loving words and stories—but also getting out the other side and creating a fun song that is in the spirit of the band.  This fifth record is probably the most simple, in a way, since the first one.” says Nathan Willett.

Hold My Home is out October 17 in Australia and New Zealand through Create/Control | Downtown.
