The observational and pictorial art of Ian Lever will be on exhibition later this month and into November.

Lever, who paints small pictures on paper implements colour and angles heavily to represent the inner city and suburbia. MELODRAMA looks at individual scenes from a gay relationship, and examines “the realities of letting people into your life.” He captures the raw actions of figures in a frame, allowing them to be watched, but not scrutinised.

Ian Lever’s MELODRAMA will open on Saturday, October 24, from 3-5pm. It will run until November 14 at the Sutton Gallery and will be presented by Lovers.
