If you’re heading to Pitch Music and Arts Festival, be warned, the surrounding areas are some of the most beautiful Victoria has to offer and once you arrive, you won’t want to leave!

Pitch is offering a spectacular line-up of international and local acts, such as Fatima Yamaha, John Talabot, The Field, CC:DISCO! and Client Liaison. But will even this be enough to compete with the mind blowing line up on offer from Mother Nature herself, featuring rugged sandstone mountain ranges, majestic waterfalls, vibrant wildflowers and gently sloping woodlands.

If you can squeeze an extra day on either side of the festival, head to the ridiculously beautiful Grampians. Halls Gap is the perfect place to stay, right in the heart of the Grampians National Park, and from there you can go bushwalking along some of the many tracks in the area, enjoy seeing some of the hundreds of species of native wildlife that exist within the park or go boating, swimming or picnicking at the nearby Lake Bellfield.

If you’re more pressed for time and just want a quick stop off on the way, pack a picnic for the Langi Ghiran State Park, home to rugged granite rock formations. You may spot some kangaroos, echidnas, wallabies, owls or wedge-tailed eagles soaring above.

Or if the thought of going a weekend without a glass of full-bodied red (Pitch is a no glass zone) makes you feel uncomfortable stop at the nearby Mount Langi Ghiran Winery, often cited as one of the most beautiful vineyards in Australia and an acclaimed producer of Shiraz. You are welcome to bring your own picnic with you, buy a bottle at Cellar Door and set up under the shade of their chestnut trees. A perfect start to what is sure to be a perfect weekend!

As you work your way around this exquisite chunk of Victoria, don’t forget to pair it with an equally exquisite Pitch inspired playlist to get you excited for the weekend ahead!
