The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has always supported the local artists and played host to shows that are a little outside of the norm… 2017 will be no different when, Man vs Wildlife v2.0 the adults only satirical take on socio-environmental issues with an educational twist, premieres running from the 4 – 8 April at the Melba Spiegeltent. Darren Lever (Triple J’s RAW Comedy State Finalist ’07) will take you on a heartfelt and hilarious journey to become the next Steve Irwin…Or John Farnham….

LIVE ANIMAL ALERT! – Based on true life events, Lever, a keen conservationist, cleverly educates audiences on the importance of Australian wildlife conservation through story-telling, music, stand-up comedy and with some local native Fauna.

With the possibility of audience participation, Darren with some help from his scaly and slithering friends will articulate the joy, sadness and inappropriate animal talk that has occurred throughout his life – and most importantly – the message of conservation.

“I educate children on the importance of conservation every day… and adults enjoy these animals just as much, so why not try to maybe change some older minds about the beauty of our native wildlife? Besides, I like a challenge. Who knows what will happen on the night?” says Darren.

So, if you like animals, stand up comedy or have a strong passion for an Australian power ballad, grab yourself a ticket now!
