While we love the current festivals on offer across Australia, we’ll rarely turn down an opportunity to welcome a new kid to the block. Peel Street Festival has just announced itself as the latest newcomer to the Melbourne festival circuit – and we’re pretty bloody pumped.
Fittingly titled, the festival will take place on Peel Street in Collingwood. The event will kick off on Saturday November 11 and is set to feature a heap of awesome acts. Archie Roach, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks, Girl Zone and Terry will be performing at Peel Street Festival to help you boogie your way into the warmer weather.
The festival is completely free, all ages, and is set to be a community celebration. On top of the groovy tunes, Peel Street Festival will also feature food, community stalls, a record fair, an interactive kids’ park and heaps more.
Produced by The Grace Darling team, in collaboration with the Collingwood community and a bunch of volunteers, the event promises to be epic. Peel Street Festival is presented by The City of Yarra, The Friendly Moving Men, Mountain Goat, Nelson Alexander, Lazerpig, PBS FM, Noisey and Placket.
Although the event already sounds pretty sweet, more artists are set to be announced in the upcoming weeks. Check out the event’s Facebook page for more details!
