Michael Shafar, writer and comedian for Channel 10‘s ‘The Project,’ is coming to the Melbourne Fringe Festival with a brand new show, ‘Kosher Bacon.’

His ‘Jewish-ish‘ stand-up comedy show sold out at last year’s Melbourne Fringe Festival, and brought the house down –  so ‘Kosher Bacon’ is sure to deliver innovative writing paired with awesome laughs and astute observations as well. After changing paths from his law career, the comedian has made a name for himself by reaching the RAW comedy final in 2016.

‘Kosher Bacon,’ just like its namesake, will be a show of paradoxes. Contrasts that will feature include ’round squares,’ ‘hot ice’ and ‘delicious tofu.’ Yet the show also delves into more serious subject matters, and explores Michael Shafar’s insights into marriage, the media, God and bar-mitzvah DJs.

The stand-up comedy show will run at the Melbourne Fringe Festival from 15-30 September on every day except Mondays. The show will start at 9pm, and Sundays at 8pm at the Lithuanian Club in North Melbourne. Grab your tickets here!
