This year for the very first time, Boroondara Arts have unveiled a year long performing arts program, which has been curated across their two venues, The Hawthorn Arts Centre and Kew Court House. The wide ranging program features an eclectic mix of performers, including works from The Melbourne Ballet Company and The Zelman Symphony to big bands, classical, cabaret and the dynamic The Bombay Royale. The diverse array of artists performing at the beautiful Kew Court House includes contributing artists from the world over. Musicians from Turkey, Italy, Greece, Colombia and Africa and many other countries will be performing.

The full program features a staggering number of events, and we highly reccomend checking out the whole thing. Some highlights include folk singer-songwriter Archer, rock group The Little Stevies, the phenomenal emerging indigenous artist Gawurra, and the Lion Heart Dance Company. For a night of gloriously fun entertainment, Australia’s hottest new cabaret night The Glitter and Doom Salon will be hosting an event.

The diverse, dynamic and sprawling program embraces traditional and contemporary art across music and dance, and the Booroondara Council have described the next twelve months as being about “reacquainting ourselves with the known and diverging into the new and unexplored.”
