What is the MSO? Why, it is a Multi-Sensory Occurrence, a Musical Sensation Obviously, a Must See Occasion… It is the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra!

This February the MSO invites you to expand the horizons of your musical taste buds with three free concerts at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Admission is free and the gates open at 4.30PM on each of the following dates.

To start things off, the MSO will play a selection of pieces by Russian composers on the 8th of February. Enjoy Berlioz, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky on a pleasant summer’s night

On the 11th of February listen to some excerpts from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet. Feel star struck listening to the music of the star crossed lovers, under a star filled sky, performed by a star studded line up of musicians.

Finally, on the 15th of February the MSO will be playing a selection of ballet and dance inspired works, featuring Stravinsky, Ravel, Korngold and R. Strauss. Let the music sweep you away for one final time!
